Development of software concepts
To innovate and invent new, original solutions. This is what is inscribed in the DNA of Digiteq Automotive. In this area, we design concepts, provide technical validations of innovations and verify the feasibility of new functions.
We analyse signals and data on a daily basis, we design trajectories and the necessary control algorithms. We then verify all new functions on an experimental car. Our main goal is to support the Volkswagen Group in evaluating the concepts of new assistance systems, especially in the area of development of software for parking and identification of unexpected car behaviour.

Serial software development and testing
After approval of a new function, the software is converted into requirements of serial quality for a specific car platform. Deep know-how is essential for such development. And that’s exactly what we have at Digiteq Automotive.
Our competences include knowledge of the automotive environment and the Automotive SPICE methodology. We have knowledge of the technical aspect of development, software architecture of the entire ecosystem, design of the architecture of our own software solution and ways of integration with other components directly into the car and the infrastructure outside it. The last piece of the puzzle is software tests programming.
Examples of successfully implemented software solutions are:

- Body Control Module (BCM)

System development and integration
Our mission is to ensure comfort and safety of each car occupant. We teach cars to perform selected activities autonomously. This makes driving more comfortable and safer.
The Volkswagen Group uses modular development for so-called platforms. Thanks to this, we can use the same electronic systems on multiple projects from different vehicle classes. At Digiteq Automotive, we are responsible for modules and individual functions of assistance and comfort systems across the Volkswagen Group. We provide electronics development from conceptual design to release for serial production and care for it during the life cycle of the car. Our knowledge is valuable input for the Serial Software Development and Testing team.
The portfolio of systems for which we participate in the development includes:
- Assistance systems – radar, parking, safety systems and functions
- Comfort systems – body control module (BCM), air-conditioning control unit, electronics of seats, doors and boot lid
- Antenna simulations – analyses, simulations, designs, measurements and consultations

Hardware
We develop solutions for modern hardware of the future. These are mainly telematics hardware solutions that are able to transmit position information and car condition data.
Originally, we developed hardware solutions for pre-serial pilot projects, today they are used in follow-up projects across the Volkswagen Group. The next step is the integration into production cars built on electric platforms.
Moreover, our work does not end with hardware development. We respond to the current needs of the mobility of the future and expand the solutions developed by us with additional functionalities.
As part of hardware development, our activities include:
- Hardware prototyping – rapid development, functional tests, hardware revisions
- Validation and certification – European certifications (EHK10, CE), group certifications (VW80000, TL81000)
- Integration into production cars – firmware prototyping, pre-serial integration, serial integration and safety

Process management
We are convinced that the basis of every successful project is meeting deadlines and budget. At Digiteq Automotive, we make sure that every project related to the development of the car’s electrics and electronics goes smoothly. From beginning to end.
As part of process management, we provide analyses and management of development costs, help find where to save money, evaluate and optimize processes according to the Automotive SPICE standards and deal with functionally oriented development. Last but not least, we support customers in implementing a cyber security management system.
